Multnomah County is the latest Oregon Circuit Court to move from a paper-based system to one that is essentially electronic. All filing done December 1, 2014, or later must be dome electronically. In addition, virtual “eFiles” will be circulated in the courthouse, allowing more efficient document processing.

Sophisticated security and failsafe systems have been installed to prevent computer crashes, lost data, and unreliable transmission. The team handling the transition seems highly skilled and dedicated, and they look forward to a seamless launch on December 1st.

Stay tuned for a progress report next month.
